The Jeweled Planet

The inspiration of nature and a passionate respect for our environment has brought Simon together with the talented Belgian soprano Manuela Van Geenhoven. The resulting album, The Jeweled Planet, is a unique album of atmospheric and evocative music inspired by the natural world but also raising the profile of environmental conservation.

The global concept of The Jeweled Planet incorporates Simon's mystical, rhythmic music, Manuela's haunting soprano voice and lyrics in English, Italian, French, Brazilian Portuguese and Pueblo Native American Indian. Also featured are the purest nature sounds from many areas of the World... owls, forest birdsong, the eagle, sounds of the sea, dolphin and whale song, sounds of the rainforest, tropical birds, the wolf, tiger and elephant.

In sympathy with the environment the album has been manufactured using attractive and innovative eco-friendly packaging (no plastics are used) and the CD case and holder are made with entirely recyclable materials. This environmentally friendly approach has met the strict guidelines of the World Wide Fund for Nature and led to The Jeweled Planet being selected for the WWF U.K. Autumn 2004 Gift Catalogue.
